We test at night
We come back after dark and correct every camera under real lighting. In daylight, they all look fine.
Security systems in Albuquerque, with a site visit, a coverage map and a night test on every job.
The call we get most often starts with: "I need a recording and you can't see anything."
Nightjar grew out of a scene we kept seeing: the installation is handed over at three in the afternoon, everything looks perfect, and the first night someone needs the footage, there's a black silhouette against the streetlight. Coming back after dark prevents that.
Cameras placed for what you need to make out, not for where they're easy to mount.
Footage kept for the days you agreed to, and a log of who came in and when.
A calibrated alarm that alerts your phone without going off on its own.
We start from what's actually worrying the client, not from an equipment catalog.
Pick a situation to see how we'd handle it.
It's almost always backlight or badly tuned infrared, not the camera. It gets fixed by repositioning and adjusting exposure, without buying everything again.
View related serviceIt's the worst habit in the industry. Here, passwords are always handed over in writing when the job is done, in the owner's name.
View related serviceA badly placed sensor trips because of the cat or a curtain. We adjust angle and sensitivity until the false alarms stop.
View related serviceA recorder's drive wears out and leaves gaps without warning. That's why we check actual days of recording and drive health.
View related serviceAccess control with an exportable log by person, area and time. It solves more internal problems than outside ones.
View related serviceWe present the proposal in a format the board can review, with the cost per unit and the coverage map.
View related serviceWe combine infrared beams with cameras that have real night range, and tell you what each option protects and what it doesn't.
View related serviceEvery stage has a point where you can review and decide.
The same order for two cameras at a house and the entire perimeter of a warehouse.
Before we quote, we visit the property. We look at how someone would get in, where the shadows are, where the sun shines straight into a lens and what you want to be able to make out: a license plate, a face or just movement. Every answer changes the camera and where it goes.
We give you a simple map showing the position of every camera or sensor and what it covers. That way you see the blind spots before you buy, instead of finding out later that the corner you were worried about was left out.
We install with wiring in raceway or conduit, crimped connectors and devices mounted solidly. A cable hanging down a wall can be cut with pruning shears, leaving the camera blind in three seconds.
Every camera looks fine in daylight. We come back after dark, check every image under the property's real lighting and correct framing, infrared and backlight. Only then is the job finished.
We hand over the recorder and app passwords, in your name, and show you how to review and export a recording. Nobody should have to depend on their installer to see their own cameras.
It's not just about installing equipment. It's about it working on the night you need it.

The recorder and the app are in your name. You don't depend on us to see your own cameras.
See where every device goes and what it covers, with blind spots marked, before you pay.
Everything runs in raceway or conduit. An exposed cable is the first thing an intruder cuts.
You'll know how to review and export a recording, which is exactly what you'll be asked for if something happens.
If your current system can be fixed or expanded, we'll say so. We don't start by proposing to replace everything.
What's worth knowing about Nightjar before the site visit.
Cameras, alarms, access control, perimeter protection, gates, networking, maintenance and video intercoms.
Fixing installations that fail at night, and long, poorly lit perimeters.
Homes and HOAs, retail and offices, and industrial sites and warehouses.
Making sure the footage exists, is clear and can be pulled by you whenever you need it.
A site visit, a coverage map, protected wiring, a night test and your passwords handed over.
We come back after dark before we bill the final payment, and the system is in your name, not ours.
We come out and give you a proposal with the coverage map and the blind spots marked.
